Ima Movie Addict

Well I hate to say I told you so but…..I definitely called David Cook’s Win. David Archuleta did put up a tremendous fight for the title though and I give him props for it. As Simon said at the end “I don’t care who wins because you both deserve to win!” This is completely true, for once America got it right!

David Cook’s stage presence is the factor that pushed him ahead I think…..David Archuleta has a very bright future ahead of him as the runner up of Season 7.

The only negative thing I have to say is that they should have made it a 1 hour show…not two! I mean…..2 hours of just the top 12 signing and so on…..it was a little long. I did appreciate the comic relief of Mike Myers in the beginning when he was promoting his upcoming film The Love Guru…..now that was funny! Apart from that, all I really wanted to know was who won…did they really have to drag it out for 2 hours! That is Reality TV for you…got to get all that television advertisement in!

Congratulations David Cook! Well Deserved!

Well American Idol is finally coming to a close tonight with a David vs David show down! On the one hand you have David Archuleta who is 17 years old but sings well beyond his years, and on the other hand you have a young talented David Cook, who has completely blossomed since the beginning of the show. To be quite honest, I wasn’t a David Cook fan in the beginning but now I really hope he wins because he has shown the most growth on the show! Both are very talented singers…but my vote is for David Cook because he has GREAT stage presence and I can see him giving a great rock concert. I can’t really say that about David Archuleda…am I the only one that is bothered by the rasping breath of air when he sings?

To his credit though, David Archuleda is very popular with the younger age groups…he might be lining himself up to be the next youth sensation after Miley Cyrus!

Good luck to both of them…my vote is for David Cook!

Well Jason Castro is finally gone….after week in and week out of bad performances, Jason is on his way home. Castro shared the bottom two with Syesha this week as the final four became the final three. Tuesday night’s performances (May 7th, 2008) proved to be well below the American Final Four Standards. Only one contestant out of the 4 had two good songs with positive comments from the Judges….

It’s the final four…I mean these singers are supposed to be the cream of the crop, and  frankly they are not! Granted David Cook and Archileda both deserve to be there…but Syesha is quite inconsistent in her performances and Jason proved to everybody that he should have been gone weeks ago.

Come on Jason, how are you going to forget the words at this stage in the competition. How are you going to try to ATTEMPT a Bob Marley song……you just can’t do that.

I thought this was supposed to be the best season of American Idol yet, with the best talent….all three of the judges said it….

….so far this season has seen poor judging, just look at my previous American Idol post for reference, and I think this season has seen the most contestants forgetting the lyrics of the songs they were singing…..

Isn’t the singing supposed to get better as the competition moves along?
