Alvin and the Chipmunks

Funny…Cute…and Cool!!! Everything that Alvin and the Chipmunks should be! Before even seeing it, I was kind of skeptical only because I was afraid that the movie would not live up to the cartoons I watched as a child. Oh boy was I proven wrong. This movie made me laugh and want to get out of my seat and dance and sing along at the same time!!!

It has a great story line with an amazing soundtrack and great choreography to keep me entertained. The effects where amazing! I mean the detail of the chipmunks were outstanding… And the audio effects just added a nice kiss of a touch to finish off the masterpiece!!!

Come on now, with Alvin, Simon and Theodore always finding a way to get into some sort of mischief, yet they always seem to cover their backs… there is bound to be plenty of entertainment to keep you glued to your screen!!!

However, the only thing I disagree with in the entire movie is just Jason Lee’s character (David Seville) whenever he yells “ALVIN!!!!” It’s just not the same as the cartoon character. Other than that, I just can’t complain!!!

This movie is a great family movie as well as something to watch with your friends or your girlfriend/boyfriend. This movie is a definite rent/purchase. It is highly recommended!!!!

Oh and the soundtrack is a definite purchase, too!!!

This movie deserves a definite 5 out of a possible 5 popcorns!

The Simpsons Movie

This review site would definitely not be a good site without the honourable mention of the Simpsons Franchise! Not only is it the longest standing animated series, but it has become an institution in so many ways.I love the Simpsons TV show, so when I saw that they were coming out with The Simpsons Movie, I was a little skeptical because I was afraid that they were going to over do it…but the writer and producers of the Simpsons have once again proven why they are the best of the best!

The movie was innovative and hilarious. It had all the Simpson element plus it was adapted to current technology and current happenings such as the theme of the movie which is the environmental issue, the addition of cell phones, the many hilarious political jokes, and so so many more!

If you haven’t seen in it yet I suggest you go and see it and even buy the DVD because I am telling you, you will not get tired of it. Add it to your movie collection forever…and honestly..al of you out there preventing your children from watching the TV series…well I have been watching it since I was 11 and I turned out just fine…so don’t be too worried on the effects of the Simpsons on your kids, maybe it isn’t suitable for kids that are 3-8, but when your kids are aged 9 and above, I think you just have to explain to them what is right and what is wrong….I don’t think that the Simpsons sends a bad message out there, its just good comedy…there are way worst shows out there!

This movie and TV series for that matter receives 5 popcorns out of a possible 5!
